Welcome to EdgyMath: applied math problems for bored students.

Most people who use math, use it to engage with other things that they are interested in doing.  Young students may not know how to do this if they are simply doing the problems that are assigned in a classroom - especially if the problems lack narrative context.

This website takes the old concept of 'story problems' and applies it to some stories that are not sufficiently addressed in most classrooms.  We start with stories about money and move to income inequality, poverty, and beyond.
